Election Day Reminders - Election Day is Tuesday, Nov7th

Election Day – Tuesday, November 7th is Election Day in Saint Peter.  Here’s some helpful information:

  • Can’t make it to the polls on Election Day?  It’s not too late to vote by absentee ballot.  All voters in School District #508 (which includes all of Saint Peter), cast absentee ballots at the Nicollet County Government Center in the Property Services Department (2nd floor).  The office is open regular hours for absentee voting and from 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday, November 4th.  Absentee voting is available through Monday, November 6th.
  • Polls are open on Tuesday, November 7th from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Don’t know where you vote?  Use the handy poll finder tool from the Secretary of State’s website http://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/.  Using this tool will not only provide you with the location of your polling place, but also a map to direct you there and a list of candidates on your particular ballot.
  • Voters in Saint Peter cast their ballots as follows:
    • Ward 1 – Precincts 1 and 2 – National Guard Armory, 1120 North Swift Street.
    • Ward 2 – Precinct 1 – Community Center 600 block of South Washington Avenue – Enter door “A” (doors are identified above the door).
    • Ward 2 – Precinct 2 – Community Center 600 block of South Washington Avenue – Enter door “B”.
  • Campaigning in or on the polling place property is not allowed.  Therefore, voters are asked to remove all campaign materials, flyers, buttons, bumper stickers, and other materials before getting to the polling place.  This restriction also includes the parking lots for the Community Center and the National Guard Armory, so if you have visible campaign material in or on your vehicle, please park on the street on Election Day.

Interested in who wins?  Election results will be posted on the City’s website  (http://www.saintpetermn.gov/elections) and on the Secretary of State’s website http://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/election-results
